Make a Better PB & J Sandwich

My mother always made the best Peanut Butter and Jelly sandwiches. She always used Grape Jam not jelly because it is fruitier. She had an usual technique to make them that I never thought to ask her about; she would mix the peanut butter with the jam in a bowl before spreading it thickly onto bread.

What is a celebration without a cake? Can't celebrate without cake right? There are so many different kinds and different ways to bake them frost them, decorate them, and we all have our favorites. Good morning bloggy friends! That was fun last Saturday wasn't it? I really enjoyed having you all join in with your comments. I do hope you all read Gail's post, Branding Your Blog. She did a great job explaining it! Thanks Gail! I have changed my blog up a few times so I guess you could say I'm still figuring out who I am here. (I do kinda miss my birds nest with the blue eggs :/ Thinking of bring it back. )  I currently am not blogging as I would like to due to time constraints so I am sure my blog will evolve as time goes on. 

Simple Kitchen Tips

Air is an enemy to cheese. Keep cheeses wrapped in plastic tightly to prevent mold and drying out. Squeeze as much air as possible out of those resealable bags shredded cheese comes in.  Blocks of cheese that will be used for grating or shredding keeps well in the freezer, and free of mold. Frozen cheese tends to crumble and won't slice as well.

Hi everyone. I do hope your weekend is off to a good start. Recently I was invited to join a Facebook group exclusively for bloggers promoting the Homemaking ebook bundle. Did you see it? Being involved with the group got me to thinking that us 'older' bloggers really should help each other out more. I have a terrible time understanding some of the info that is out there relating to blogging and would love to have some help with it. If I were only blogging for fun it wouldn't be so complicated but I want to step it up a bit and start making some money.
